Minor cereals attracted visitors at the field day in Nabočany, Czech Republic, 13-14 June 2017

Around 4000 visitors - farmers, farmer advisors, breeders, researchers and students of agricultural schools as well as public at large - came to the field day at Nabočany near Chrudim on each of the two-day event. Minor cereals - spelt, einkorn, emmer, rye and oats - to be viewed at the field plots attracted a big interest amongst the visitors. The interest in minor cereals is growing every year, and most so amongst organic farmers.

General Assembly meeting, Potsdam 10-11 May 2016

The HealthyMinorCereals partners and WP leaders met in Potsdam to discuss the progress of the project. The meeting was hosted by our partner organisation - the Institute für Lebensmittel- und Umweltforschung e. V. (ILU). All participants benefited from a tour of labs and grain processing and bakery facilities of ILU/IGV. Delicious products from minor cereals were served during coffee and lunch breaks. The consortium would like to thank Steve Quarrie - External Advisory Board member - for his active participation in the meeting and useful comments on the poroject. Two other members of the EAB, Colin Lloyd and Jiří Urban, are thanked for providing written comments.
